A shout-out to Stephen Kapski Painting -
His crew was polite and did a very nice job cleaning and staining my deck. Beyond that, I requested a change in the product to be used after I signed the price agreement. The product I requested required fewer coats to be applied so Steve reduced the bill accordingly, which I thought was pretty nice because I never would have known/expected to pay less than the original bid. And now, thanks to Steve (and Mike Moser, the guy who built the deck), I have the prettiest deck I know of.

First, I have to tell you how pleased I am with Kevin (I think his name is) – he was great! He was early, very courteous, cleaned up everything (no paint chips from sanding anywhere to be found) - he really did a good job. The first day, there were 2 people and the older gentlemen was also very nice….I am home latter part of day Friday or I can leave a check in the door Saturday morning. Thank you for deducting the $25.00 and thank you for a doing a great job. I now have to paint my flooring and put out my porch furniture so I will send you an image, also, I want you to look at the window sills on the side of the house that face the woods, they are rotted and I need those replaced so come by and take a look and let me know what your thoughts are on replacement.

Kevin and Larry were great. They did everything we outlined. They asked permission for several things and did not assume - leaving tarps in the hall/steps for the first night only, using a radio, leaving some supplies in the hall on the third night, etc. I had an extra key in case they needed to leave while I was out but they assured me that someone would always be here - and they were. I also appreciated that Kevin was flexible on when to paint the windows. We were able to consider the weather so the windows could stay open and completely dry before being closed. Since the weather has been mild, the windows are still open from when they started painting on Friday morning.

Everyone that has seen it comments on the quality - especially the wall repairs. I understand why you wanted Kevin on this job. He did well. When I decide to re-paint the first floor, I will call as similar wall repairs are needed there. It is something an amateur cannot do well.
